• Yellow and red ZTL bands, camera-controlled gates

  Aosta's ZTLs are split into two bands: in the yellow band (including Via Martinet north side, Via Gorret, Via Tourneuve, Via Trèves, Via Mons. Duc and Piazza Narbonne) permits are valid 0:00–24:00; all other ZTLs are in the red band, with hours that depend on the permit. Gates may be checked by cameras that compare plates with the authorised list.

• Hotel guests: 30 minutes for luggage, plate on the portal

  Guests of accommodation inside the ZTL are covered by type H authorisation: the car may enter at any hour, in both yellow and red bands, only to load and unload luggage, with a 30-minute maximum stop and the arrival time displayed. Within 10 days the property must register the plate, arrival and departure dates and the police guest-registration code on the portal.

• Blue bays: Mon–Sat 8–12 and 14–18, €0.80 to €2/h

  Aosta's blue bays are charged Monday to Saturday, 8:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00, Sundays and holidays excluded. Rates range from €2/h in the most central streets (Chabloz, Etats, San Francesco, Sales) to €1.40 in most streets and €0.80 further out, such as the 165 spaces in Via Vittorio Veneto.

• Four multi-storey car parks, over 1,500 spaces

  Besides on-street parking, Aosta has four car parks, Parini, Carrel, Consolata and De la Ville, with over 1,500 spaces between the centre and the town's main approaches. Carrel is the underground multi-storey beneath the bus station (Via Giorgio Carrel 1); none of the four is attended.

• Chains or winter tyres on Aosta Valley state roads

  In mid-October 2025 ANAS confirmed that snow chains on board or winter tyres were mandatory on Aosta Valley state roads until 15 April 2026: SS 26 from Pont-Saint-Martin to the Little St Bernard Pass, SS 26 dir to the Mont Blanc Tunnel and SS 27 from Aosta to the Great St Bernard Pass. The notice for winter 2026/27 was not yet online on 19 October 2026.

• ZTL in Via Garibaldi and Piazza Arco d'Augusto

  Since May 2023 (order 230/2023) the northern stretch of Via Garibaldi, from the Via Torino roundabout to Piazza Arco d'Augusto and on to Via Ancien Abattoir, has been a red-band ZTL, as part of the plan to pedestrianise the square. The Piazza Ancien Abattoir car park can still be reached from Viale Chabod via a dedicated lane.
