• Walled-city ZTL: area and gates

  The ZTL covers the whole walled city, the Piazza Roma/Piazza Verdi area and Piazza Volta, Via Grassi and Via Garibaldi, and applies all year with electronic checks. Entry gates: Via Cinque Giornate, Diaz, Carducci, Indipendenza, Rodari, Grassi and Cairoli; exit gates: Via dell'Annunciata, Indipendenza, Rodari, Cairoli and Garibaldi.

• Hotel guests in the ZTL

  Ordinance 11/2017, still referenced by the Comune, bans traffic in the 'Città Murata' ZTL 0:00–24:00 every day except for authorised vehicles. Guests of accommodation inside the ZTL give their plate to the property, which passes it to the Polizia Locale: one entry on check-in day and one on check-out day, up to 45 minutes for loading and unloading; if the hotel has its own parking, access is allowed for the whole stay.

• ZTL permits online only, with SPID or CIE

  ZTL access requests can only be made online, logging in with SPID or the Italian electronic ID card (CIE) and attaching the vehicle registration document. The fee is a €16 revenue stamp plus €5–20 in handling costs depending on the category.

• Val Mulini car park: €1 a day

  The municipal Val Mulini multi-storey car park (Via Mulini, run by CSU) costs a flat €1 per day, is open 6:30–21:00 and takes vehicles up to 2 m high. The city centre is reached by urban bus; tickets are also sold at the cash desk or the parking meter.

• Lazzago and Tavernola Park & Ride

  Near the motorway exit is the Lazzago Park & Ride, with 410 spaces charged 8:00–19:00. At Tavernola, on Via per Cernobbio near the bus stop and the lake-ferry pier, the surface car park has 111 spaces charged 8:00–19:00, at €1 per day.
