• Summer 2026: old town pedestrian in the evening

  In summer 2026 the pedestrian area covered the whole old-town ZTL: Friday to Sunday from 24 May to 14 June, every evening 19:00–24:00 from 15 June to 13 September (Fridays and Saturdays until 1:00), then 19:00–24:00 from 14 to 27 September. Gates: Largo Portavecchia, Largo Vescovado, Largo Plebiscito, Via Cristoforo Colombo (Piazza Garibaldi), Via Cavaliere, Via Mulini, Via dell'Erba and the first side street of Via Colombo; only police and emergency vehicles could pass.

• Hybrid and electric cars may drive in the ZTL

  The Polizia Locale points out that electric, hybrid or eco-fuel vehicles are exempt from the ZTL driving bans at any hour and without a permit, provided the fuel type is shown on the registration document. The exemption covers driving through the ZTL, not parking.

• Online ZTL passes: hotels and day transit

  Passes for the historic-centre ZTL are requested online on the Autorizzo.com platform, which also has an application for accommodation businesses and one for a single day's transit. The Comune allows up to 30 days for a decision, so with a hotel or B&B in the centre it pays to arrange this before arrival; passes are collected from the Polizia Locale on Tuesdays 9:00–11:00 and Thursdays 9:00–11:00 and 16:00–18:00.

• Blue bays: €1 an hour, until 1:30 in summer

  In the 19th-century 'Murattiano' centre (688 bays) parking costs €1 an hour, minimum €0.50, every day: October to May 8:30–13:30 and 16:30–20:30, June to September 8:30–1:30. In Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II it is €2 an hour and season tickets are not valid. The operator is SIS-Mobility Solutions, with an office at Via Castelfidardo 37.

• Porta Vecchia–Porto Bianco: paid bays and disc zone

  Since 16 May 2026, on a trial basis until 31 October, the former Ina Casa area (Porta Vecchia–Porto Bianco) has 125 paid bays at €2 an hour, 8:30–1:30 every day from June to September and on Sundays, holidays and the day before them in April, May and October, plus 125 free bays limited to one hour with a parking disc.

• Free park and ride: four summer lines

  In summer 2026, until 15 September, four free shuttles linked car parks with the centre: White line 1A from the railway station (11:00–18:00), White 1B from Via Nievo and Via Pisonio, Blue from the 'San Marco' high-school car park and Green from Via Procaccia (former Gummy Park) to Piazza D'Annunzio. The evening lines ran every 25 minutes from 18:30 until about 1:00.

• Monopoli exits and matching car parks

  For the festival of 27 June 2026 the Comune matched each exit with a car park: from Monopoli Nord, Via Pisonio, Via Nievo, Via Togliatti and the former cement works; from Monopoli centro, Conversano exit, the former fuel depot on Via Arenazza and the bike-station car park on Via Canonico del Drago; Castellana Grotte exit, the Polo Liceale San Marco. From Monopoli sud (Fasano, San Francesco da Paola and Alberobello exit) there was the free shuttle.
