• Porto S. Stefano: Corso and Pilarella ZTLs, summer 2026

  From 3 June to 14 September 2026 in Porto Santo Stefano, the Corso Umberto I ZTL (gates 1 and 2) was reserved for authorised vehicles every day 18:00–24:00, and the Pilarella ZTL (gates 1 and 2) 18:00–02:00. From 1 July to 31 August, between 21:00 and 24:00, only police, emergency and public-service vehicles, taxis, chauffeur-driven cars and disabled-badge vehicles could use Pilarella gate 2.

• Hotel guests: report the transit within 48 hours

  Under the 2026 summer order for the Porto Santo Stefano ZTLs, hotel guests' cars could drive through, but the transit had to be reported within 48 hours to the local police by email ([email protected]). Exiting through gate 2 was allowed 18:00–21:00 and 00:00–02:00.

• Porto Ercole: Porto and Paese ZTLs in summer 2026

  In 2026 in Porto Ercole the 'Porto' ZTL (gates 1 and 3) was for authorised vehicles only 18:00–24:00 on some days in May and June, every day in July and August and 1–6 September. The 'Paese' ZTL, with gates on Viale Caravaggio (Piazzale Vespucci and Piazza Ricasoli) and Via dei Molini (Via Campagnatico), ran 19:00–23:00 every day in August and on selected dates between May and September.

• Porto Ercole: two ZTLs active all year, 24/7

  Since 13 March 2026 Porto Ercole's 'Piazza Indipendenza' and 'Centro Storico' ZTLs (entry from Piazza Ricasoli, Via Principe Amedeo and Piazza S. Barbara) have been active all year round, 24 hours a day: only vehicles heading to garages with a driveway permit may enter, plus disabled-badge vehicles for transit and stops. Access is monitored by electronic cameras.

• Blue-zone parking in three zones, seasonal rates

  Since 1 April 2025 paid parking has had rates by zone and by period (15 May–30 September and 1 October–14 May). Zone 1 covers Via Roma, Via Marconi and part of Via Baschieri in Porto S. Stefano and Via Italia and Via Caravaggio in Porto Ercole; zone 2 covers Lungomare dei Navigatori, Scalo Colombo, Piazzale Candi, Via Barellai, Piazzale del Valle and Banchina Toscana in Porto S. Stefano and Lungomare Andrea Doria and Piazza Roma in Porto Ercole. The service is run by the municipal company AMA.

• Cars on Giglio: non-resident ban from 3 to 23 August

  If you planned to ship the car from Porto Santo Stefano: in 2026, from 3 to 23 August, non-residents' vehicles could not land or drive on Isola del Giglio, except for stays of at least five days (with a self-declaration kept in the car) and foreign-registered vehicles. On Giannutri the non-resident ban ran from 30 March to 1 November 2026.
