• A4 Peschiera exit, toll-free SR450 and SR11

  From the A4 Milan–Venice motorway, leave at the Peschiera del Garda exit. From the Brenner on the A22, exit at Affi and continue on the SR450 expressway Affi–Peschiera, which is toll-free; the SR11 Verona–Brescia road is toll-free too.

• Free car parks: Campo Sportivo and Lungomincio

  Free parking is available at Campo Sportivo (P4, 300 spaces, no time limit) and Lungomincio Bonomi (P5, not on public holidays). The Mandracchio car park (200 spaces, no campervans) is paid on public holidays, Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

• Paid car parks near the fortress

  Near the historic centre, parking costs €2 per hour at Piazzale Porto (81 spaces), the Ferdinando di Savoia car park (143 spaces, 9:00–24:00 daily) and Lungolago Mazzini (71 spaces, 9:00–24:00). The largest, Porta Brescia (255 spaces, 9:00–24:00), costs €1.50 per hour.

• Market Mondays: Porta Brescia closed until 15:00

  Every Monday from 8:00 to 13:00 the weekly market fills the Porta Brescia and Campo Sportivo car parks: Porta Brescia is closed from 5:00 to 15:00. In summer 2026 (6 April–28 September) the stretch of road between Via Milano and Via Campo Sportivo was also closed to traffic on Mondays from 6:00 to 15:00.

• Porta Verona: maximum height 3.8 metres

  To enter the fortified historic centre through Porta Verona the maximum vehicle height is 3.8 metres – worth checking if you drive a van or campervan. Tour coaches may only drop passengers off in Riviera Carducci, opposite Piazzale del Porto, stopping 10 minutes at most.

• Signs with free spaces at the town entrances

  Since summer 2026, signs at the town's entry points show which car parks have space, how to reach them and how many spaces are free; in July 2026 the system was still being tested. The Comune also designed it for the new Castelnuovo del Garda motorway exit, still under construction, meant to relieve the Peschiera exit.
