• SP 227: car filter until 1 November 2026

  From 14 March to 1 November 2026 a traffic «filter» applies on the SP 227 to private cars queuing for the Portofino and Paraggi car parks. When Portofino's local police switch it on, the queue is held at La Cervara (Santa Margherita Ligure) by day and at the entrance to Portofino village in the evening and at night.

• Centre ZTL: access hours changed in October

  Via Roma, Piazza Martiri dell'Olivetta, Molo Umberto I and Calata Marconi make up Portofino's central ZTL. Ordinance no. 39, in force since 16 October 2026, changed the hours when vehicles may enter, so check the signs before driving in.

• Municipal multi-storey open 24/7 (2023 rates)

  The multi-storey car park (Silos) run by Portofino Mare, the Comune's parking company, is open 24 hours a day all year. In the 2023 price list the first hour cost €8, three hours €20 and 24 hours €51.40, then €1.50 for each extra hour; current rates may differ.

• By car: A12 exits Recco or Rapallo

  On the A12 Genoa–Livorno motorway, leave at the Recco or Rapallo exit; from Rapallo the coast road leads to Santa Margherita Ligure and on to Portofino. By train, the Park points to Santa Margherita Ligure and Camogli stations.

• Bus 782 from Santa Margherita: €5 ticket

  If you leave the car in Santa Margherita Ligure, AMT line 782 runs from the railway station to Portofino. It needs its own single ticket at €5, to be validated and kept for the whole ride.

• Summer 2026: bus 782 every 15 minutes

  From 15 June to 13 September 2026, line 782 from Santa Margherita station to Portofino ran daily about every 15 minutes in the middle of the day (from the station at 12:22, 12:37, 12:52…), also stopping at Covo di Nord Est and Paraggi.
