• Where Stresa's paid car parks are

  The largest paid car park is Piazza Marconi, in front of the town hall (203 spaces), followed by the Palacongressi (89), Piazzale Lido di Carciano (70), Via G. Borromeo (70), the Viale Lido di Carciano multi-storey (41) and Corso Italia–Porto Nuovo (31). They are run by the municipal company Stresa Servizi.

• Rates: €1.80 an hour, €14 a day

  Under the council resolution of 14 April 2025, in Stresa's municipal car parks (Piazza Marconi, Corso Italia, Piazza Capucci, Palacongressi, Via Borromeo, the Lido car park and multi-storey) a car pays €1.80 an hour or €14 a day. Hotel guests get an agreed €10 rate, valid only in Piazza Marconi.

• March to October: pay daily 9:30–22:00

  From 1 March to 31 October parking in the municipal car parks is charged every day from 9:30 to 22:00. From November to February, Piazza Marconi and Piazzale Lido di Carciano are free on weekdays and charged only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; Via Borromeo is free every day.

• Piazza Capucci with disc, Palacongressi 24/7

  In Piazza Capucci, from 1 March to 31 October, parking is limited to 60 minutes with a parking disc from 8:00 to 19:00. The lower level of the Palacongressi (entry and exit from Via Prini) is paid all year round, 24 hours a day.

• Crossing by car: Intra–Laveno ferry, 2026 fares

  To cross Lake Maggiore with a car there is the Navigazione Laghi ferry between Verbania Intra and Laveno. From 1 April 2026 a car 3.50–4.50 m long pays €11.40 one way and €22.80 return, driver included; up to 3.50 m it is €9.10.

• Autumn ferry timetable: runs from 5:00 to 23:00

  Under the autumn timetable, 5 October to 8 November 2026, the ferry leaves Verbania Intra from 5:00 to 23:00 and Laveno from 5:30 to 23:30. The crossing takes about 20 minutes.
