• Island ZTL: 2026 hours

  In 2026 the ZTL covers the whole historic-centre island from the junction of Ponte Giovanni Paolo II and Piazza della Fontana Greca, where an electronic gate reads plates: 11:00–24:00 from 2 April to 31 May and from 1 to 31 October, 11:00–3:00 from 1 June to 30 September.

• Hotel and B&B guests: 30 minutes for luggage

  Hotels and B&Bs with a CIS code can add guests’ plates to the white list, up to one per room: the car may enter for 30 minutes, only to drop off or collect luggage at check-in and check-out, and the property must register the passage on the portal within 7 days.

• Island: no campers or wide vehicles; pedestrian streets

  In the historic centre, campers, caravans and vehicles wider than 2.30 m or heavier than 3.5 t are always banned unless authorised by the Polizia Locale. The pedestrian-area streets, such as Via Antonietta De Pace and Piazza Duomo, are closed to cars from 10:00 to 2:00 (2 April–31 October 2026).

• Blue bays: town centre and Lungomare Marconi

  In the town centre, blue bays cost €1.50 an hour, every day 9:00–13:00 and then 16:00–21:00 from October to May, 17:00–24:00 from June to September. On Lungomare Marconi it is €2 an hour or €10 for 6 hours, around the clock from June to September and 9:00–21:00 the rest of the year.

• Summer car parks: Stadio, Via Zacà and Baia Verde

  From 1 June to 30 September the municipal stadium area (14:00–2:00, €1.50 an hour or €6 a day), the cemetery area on Via Zacà (9:00–14:00 and 16:00–1:00, €5 a day) and the Baia Verde area (9:00–14:00 and 16:00–1:00, €1.50 an hour) are also paid.

  In summer 2026 the Comune acknowledged (ordinance no. 220 of 29/05/2026) a free public shuttle linking the car park next to the municipal stadium with the southern coast as far as Baia Verde.
