Where the central ZTL is
The central ZTL covers the area from Piazza Giulio Cesare to Via Cavour and from Porta Nuova to Porta Felice. Only vehicles with a pass or authorisation may enter, while the perimeter streets can be driven freely.
ZTL hours, day and night
The ZTL applies Mon–Fri 8:00–20:00 and, on Friday and Saturday nights, until 6:00: from 20:00 (1 May–31 October) or from 23:00 (1 November–30 April). During these hours unauthorised vehicles may not enter, drive or park.

Daily pass: price and validation

Blue-line parking: hours and rate
In AMAT blue-line bays you pay Monday to Saturday, 8:00–20:00 with no afternoon break, at €1 per hour (rules since 11 August 2026). In Mondello and Sferracavallo, from 1 May to 31 October, you pay every day from 8:00 to 24:00.

Santa Rosalia festival: ZTL suspended
For the Festino di Santa Rosalia in mid-July, the city council suspends the ZTL by ordinance: in 2026 it stayed suspended until 8:00 on 16 July. Dates change from year to year, so check the ordinance in force.
